Fall Events in Full Swing

It’s the busy season in New England for eventing with award ceremonies, panel discussions and more. The Lombardi Team has been getting out there.

We kicked off the season with New England Home’s 5 Under 40 Event. As long-time sponsors, we are always looking forward to this party and supporting the cause. Not only does this event highlight the talents of 5 young designers, proceeds from the auction goes to Barakat.

New England Home’s Hall of Fame

The party continued in October with the Hall of Fame Inductee event at the SoWa Station. As a former recipient of the Award, Greg was there to celebrate the announcement of the new Inductees. The November Event for the Hall of Fame is one that we continue to sponsor and always look forward to! Expecting tonight to be a fun one!

We participated in a couple great panel discussions during October as well. Greg started things off as a moderator at Historic New England’s 2022 Summit. The event was both in person and livestream with 600 participants. The panel he moderated discussed Reimagining Post-Industrial New England. Historic New England is an organization near and dear to Greg. As a Board of Trustee and Governance & Preservation Committee Member, he has sponsored and participated in many of their events through the years in an effort to bring attention to this important cause.

Following that, Troy Sober was a panelist on the Work/Life Balance – The Right Thing at the Right Time event held at Kevin Cradock Builders‘ Boiler Room in Boston. Joining fellow speakers Kevin Cradock, Corinne Acampora, Melanie Perillo and Allison Iantosca, they shared personal stories about the balance between being a workaholic and maintaining a healthy life balance.

The Lombardi Team had an inspirational evening attending the Harvard GSD’s Lecture with Surfacedesign where the focus was on how landscapes can engage water extremes from drought to flooding/sea level rise. After dinner, the Team headed over to Alden and Harlow for a bite to eat.

Bringing Home the Gold

It wasn’t all presentations, we attended the BRAGB PRISM Awards this year at the Museum of Science to accept the Gold Award for Best Design for Outdoor Living for our Sky Garden project in Beacon Hill. The celebration included posing with some dinosaurs while chatting it up with lots of familiar friends.
