To complement renovations to the French Student Center building, GLDI developed a new, universally accessible path to the patio, improvements to the existing site stairs, and an overall site planting plan. The new, diagonal sloped path up to the building was developed as an informal “desire path” students frequented across the site and has carefully considered benches and shade trees that allow and support passive recreation and gathering. A rain garden featuring appropriate plant spieces will capture stormwater run-off.
