Gregory Lombardi Design

Drawing inspiration from the landscape as a source of both water collection and pedestrian respite, GLDI created a parking garden for the main entry to the office building. This parking garden collects and re-purposes surface stormwater run-off which then redirects it into the gardens, protecting the adjacent Charles River watershed from harmful pollutants. The shade garden on the west side of the structure integrates the abutting public trail with opportunities for pedestrian reprieve.  Much attention was taken to preserve the existing trail experience and make an accessible garden for the site tenants and residents of Wellesley.
