Gregory Lombardi Design Hosts 5 Under 40 Reunion

Gregory Lombardi Design organized and hosted a reunion event for the past ten years of winners of New England Home Magazine’s 5 Under 40 Award.

The event was held at Davio’s in Boston and the theme for the event was “If I Only Knew Then What I Know Now” featuring presentations by some of the leading minds in the industry, Jason Harris Principal and Vice President of Gregory Lombardi Design, John Steiger of Wealth Planning Resources, Sarah Lawson of S+H Construction, and Alicia Williams of Aliste Marketing.

More than just honoring past winners

The event was also designed to help the group establish professional connections that further their collective distinction as one of the most important and noteworthy cohorts in the New England design industry. The speakers brought to life very current topics relevant to today’s design professionals including: tactics for managing growth, planning for the success of your business, Planning for both sides of succession it is never too early, how to develop a marketing plan for social media.

The late morning presentations were followed by a great lunch (…thank you Davio’s) then a break out group discussion that included a dive into 5 predetermined questions designed to further help the group tackle and untangle the many challenges and opportunities facing them each day.

Topics of discussion included, how to plan for a recession, finding work life balance, challenges of growing  your business, preparing for an economic downturn, and utilizing the 5 Under 40 Award to benefit your business

The afternoon discussion was Moderated by Kyle Hoepner from New England Home Magazine the event was wrapped up with a nice Champaign toast by Landry and Acari who continue to be a great support for 5 Under 40 and the design industry as a whole.

Gregory Lombardi Design and the group are in discussions now on how to continue to build momentum with the 5 under 40 alum including one of their own Troy Sober Principal at Gregory Lombardi design.
